And on to the Review!
What I thought: I really like this series! Like a lot! It has a bunch of my favorite tropes and things, and feels exactly like the kind of story I want to write (I kind of am👀, but I started mine before I found out about Livy’s. Check mine out here) Oliva is a Christian Author, and you can totally tell because most of her characters are Christians and everything is super clean and really enjoyable.

Things to be aware of: NOTHING!!!!! This is probably what makes this series so good!! There is nothing that you need to be concerned about, unless you don’t like the female characters talking/thinking about guys. (Or if you think that *SPOILER* sixteen year old girls shouldn’t be eating Ice cream and dancing on tables with sixteen year old boys in ice cream parlors at nine in the morning! *END SPOILER*)
Aurora might be a character to watch specifically because of her funny and ridiculous interest in boys. It is not in a bad way, but if you (or your parents, in the extremely rare case that they are very specific on what you can and can’t read) don’t like the minor flirting and whatever else she does, just beware that this does contain some of that, but it wasn’t bad at all and was actually quite funny.
Alright, actually, there is some talk about death. The evil King Raymond does kill *SPOILER* Lena’s Grandmother, little brother, and the girls’ parents, as well as many other people. *END SPOILER* They are not descriptive at all, she is just stating that they are dead and there are dead bodies lying there, but there is no description and it is totally non gory, and all in all it just made me want to cry.
Okay, you caught me again. There is a slight romance. but it is pretty brief and kind of made me feel bad for the guy. (read the spoiler if you want to find out why, but if you are planning on reading these books, don’t, and just look back later when your done if you really want to know. *SPOILER* Peter proposes to Lena in Season two, but Lena is not sure what to say and leaves him hanging for awhile. *END SPOILER*
And my favorites, because I really do enjoy this series.

Character: Emma and Arden. While these two are really side characters, Oliva writes it in such a way that they both almost feel like main characters. The two are so funny together (they are just friends, guys, sheesh) and Emma feels almost like me. She loves to read, people watch, and apparently likes acting (randomly.) (I tap dance, not act, but it is fun to be in a play, although the only one I have ever been in is one me and my friend wrote and directed; it was chaotic but fun, and was Cinderella, but that is another story for another day) Anyways.
My favorite part: I cant pick. there are just way too many. that being said because each book is like 400 pages long and there are three of them so it is just waaaaayyyy to long to pick a favorite part. I do like the parts with Eleanor, she seems like a kindred spirit. (even though I don’t ride horses) She is such a down-to-Earth girl and a spunky character.

Alright! Enough from me! Go walk outside or something, go read! Enjoy your day/week!
Have you ever read Regal Hearts? If not, will you now? If you have, comment and let me know what you like about it!
