my personal library-part two

In honor of world book day (that’s today! april 23), I am finally releasing the second half of my personal library! If you didn’t catch part one, here it is!

AANNNNNDDDDD without further ado, here is part two!

The Fourth Wave by Ron Boehme
I have not personally read this one, but I did get to hear the author, Mr. Boehme, speak at a Mission Training held at my Church. It’s a non-fiction about revivals in the world. I am super excited to dive into it!

The Selection by Kiera Cass
Kiera Cass and her princess stories get me every time. I have only ever read two, but I love them so much. I only have the first in this series, but hope to get more and finish my collection!

Soul Surfer by Bethany Hamilton
I actually love this book so much because Bethany is just telling her story and it is really awesome to just hear how it happened in her words. Bethany is probably one of my favorite speakers/Christian influencers of all time and hearing her story in her own words a year after it happened was really cool.

The Cupcake Queen by Heather Hepler
I cannot recommend this book enough! It has small town vibes, new girl, fish out of water, family problems, queen bee problems, all the things rolled into one cute and sweet story that is a must read for anyone like me.

Regal Hearts and Tales of Tarsurella Series’ by Livy Jarmusch
What can I say, I am a fan of Princess books, I even write them myself, so obviously these were a must for my shelves. To top that off, the characters are all Christians and are pretty open about their faith, so royalty and romance and kingdom against kingdom wars written from a Christian perspective with Christian characters is so awesome!

Hattie Big Sky by Kirby Larson
I haven’t read this one, but have heard that people really enjoy it. Hattie sounds like such an amazing and strong character, having to face what she does and having the guts to survive even though she was alone and only sixteen years old.

Savvy by Ingrid Law
Quite an interesting tale spun by author Ingrid Law, I really enjoyed this one. Mibs and her family are kind of like superheroes in that they have powers, but they are hard for them to control. Not only that, but they get mixed up and somehow end up on a road trip across the country with a pink bible salesman!

Meet the Austin’s by Madeleine L’Engle
This one had a similar feel to Savvy with the family dynamics and all the children running around everywhere. I don’t remember much (it’s been awhile since I read it), but I know that it was really good and made me want to read the next three in the series. While I have yet to do that, I really want to. Highly recommend!

Strawberry Girl by Lois Lenski
I have not read this one, but the cover is really cute! I have heard good things about it, so it looks promising!

The Betsy-Tacy Series by Maud Hart Lovelace
I LOVE THIS SERIES SO MUCH! When I was younger, two of my good friends and I used to pretend we were Betsy Tacy and Tib, and have their adventures. The funny thing is, we all fit the girls really well! One of us was short and blond and pretty, one of us had red hair and a big heart, and one of us had brown hair and loved stories! (guess which one I was!) Maud based this series off of her life, and even though they are set in the early 1900s they are surprisingly relatable to today!

Whinnie the Pooh by A. A. Milne
Just a classic. That’s all I’m gonna say. If you would like to hear me rant about it, click here!

Anne of Green Gables by L. M. Montgomery
Another classic. SO good. Anne is so awesome with all of her scrapes and everything, and I really want to read the rest of the books in this series also the movie (NOT the tv show) is really good.

In Grandma’s Attic Series by Arletta Richardson
I love these. Mabel and Sarah Jane are so funny, and I believe (if I remember correctly πŸ˜†) the books are about the authors grandma (Mabel). Highly recommend, especially if you enjoy middle grade reads.

Radiant by Priscilla Shirer
I love this book! It was so awesome to read and really insightful as well. i love the way Priscilla adds in her own stories, and I love all her bible studies too. I highly HIGHLY recommend this, especially you teenage girls.

The Statistical Probability of Love At First Sight by Jennifer E. Smith
I saw this as a movie first and when I heard that it was a book I knew I had to read it. To be honest, I wasn’t as impressed with it as I was with the movie, and usually its the opposite, but do with this information what you will.

Enola Holmes by Nancy Springer, books 1 & 2
These books I also saw as a movie first, and one day I saw the books at a books store and decided “why not?” so I bought them. While they definitely had a much different vibe than the movies, plot included. They were still pretty good (actually, I think the only thing in common was the characters and minor plot points. but yes, I do know for a fact the movies were (at least very loosely) based on the books).

The Rise and Fall of Mount Majestic by Jennifer Trafton
I tried several times to read this, but each time I never finished it. I really want to and the concept is really interesting. I think one of the main things that kept me from finishing it was when I read it I wasn’t really in the mood for a Middle Grade read, but other than that I want to finish it and see how this fantasy tale ends!

Rosa of Linden Castle and The Basket of Flowers by Christoff Von Schmid
Lamplighter Theatre has so many old books that they dramatize and reprint, and this is one of them. I actually have several more from Lamplighter, as well as their audio dramas, and they come from a Christian worldview and the characters are Christian as well. I really like Lamplighter and these stories, highly recommend!

Little House on The Prairie Series by Laura Ingalls Wilder
When I was younger, these were my favorite. I would watch the show all the time, and used to pretend I was Laura. These are based off of Laura’s life, and if you have never heard of these books before what was your childhood like I am so sorry please go read these right now!!

Thank you for sticking through and reading this! If you haven’t read any of these check them out! Hope you found a new read and happy Easter!
